Tipping Points and their Driving Processes | Robustness and (ir)reversibility of tipping points | Clustering, data and project management
Professor Jon Robson is an NCAS Senior Scientist, and a Professor of climate science at the University of Reading. He leads a research group exploring the climate variability and change in the North Atlantic climate system, how it shapes the wider climate, and its predictability.
In TipESM he is exploring how North Atlantic tipping points affect the atmospheric circulation and their downstream impacts, including helping to understand how these atmospheric changes might lead to the sort of ecological and societal tipping points found in WP6. Alongside the atmospheric impacts, he is also helping to better understanding some of the oceanic precursors of North Atlantic tipping points.
